19 Types of Social Media Content Proven to Get More Leads

It is very simple to create a social media profile by simply creating a username with your email address and creating a password. But what to do next? What to post? It is so intimidating to see others who post something entertaining, educational and watching or reading great news.

Why social media is an important marketing tool?

  • Social media gives your brand a voice and presence. You build an authority by increasing your followers who are interested to follow and learn about you. I consider it as free publicity.
  • High quality content keeps your followers loyal. Loyal supporters most likely make repeat purchases, attend your events, word of mouth advertising.
  • You receive inbound leads organically and for free. When I started out as a resume writer in 2015, I got about 50 leads from Facebook and 600 leads from LinkedIn. With Facebook leads I made about $250-$650 per lead. and on LinkedIn I made about $200-$1,360 per lead.

This is what I post in order to increase followers and make sales.

1. User Generated Content- I post affiliate products and tag my brands on Instagram post, and then I get followers from the brand. Then I get retweets, re-posts.

2. Quotes
- I post inspiring quotes for my followers to comment and share on their IG story and get followers from their profile. I take quotes from my podcast and my articles.

3. Podcasts- I share synopsis of my podcasts and have people listen the rest of the episode here.

4. Live Streams-I let my followers know when I am live streaming so they can ask questions live.

5. Articles-Like this article it will be shared on social media.

6. Infographics- People are visual and prefer to see content in a bright color
7. Webinars- It is like a mini training for my followers to be nurtured.

8. Testimonials- I share my Google review and shout outs from my leads.
9. Q&A- I answer questions in my stories
10. E-books-I share my e-books to download. This helps me to increase my email list.

11. Guides
- I do the same with guides.
12. Memes- It is entertaining and can be created with Snappa

12. Polls-Most social medias has the polls features.
13. News-I am not a fan of news, but if it is trendy I share with my followers.
14. Videos-I share my YouTube videos on IGTV.

15. Promotions and Advertisement-I share my affiliate products.
16. Ask Me Anything- This is great for engagement and for my loyal followers
17. Trending Topics- Topics that are relevant to my followers.
18. GIF-It is fun and entertaining content. I use this in the comments section.
19. Collaborations- I find influencers who are interested to share about their tips and advice to my audience and then I speak on their platforms for their audiences. Sometimes it is a shout-out and sometimes it is an interview.
